About Baronh

Baronh is the constructed language of the Abh, a genetically modified spacefaring race in Morioka Hiroyuki's Crest of the Stars (Seikai no Monshō) novel and anime series. Based on ancient Japanese with influences from French and other languages, Baronh features a unique writing system and a grammar evolved from Japanese over thousands of years of space travel. The language reflects the Abh's aristocratic culture with elaborate honorifics and spatial terminology suited to three-dimensional space navigation.
