Frequently asked questions
Are books available through any other subscription service?
Some of our books are also available through subscription services such as Everand and Storytel, if you are a subscriber of theirs it might be a good idea to check availability there.
Are the ebooks only available through subscription services?
No, all ebooks can be purchased as a one-off item, and often they are available across multiple retailers, namely Amazon, Apple Books, Google Books, Kobo, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, and more.
I don't have access to any of the listed subscription service, can I still read it for free?
Yes, some of our ebooks are available in libraries worldwide with access to the OverDrive catalog.
I don't have access to a library with OverDrive, don't have access to any subscription services, and I can't afford the books, is there anything I can do?
Most of these subscription services offer a free trial which you cancel before getting charged, they are usually long enough that you will be able to finish reading the book. Failing that, our books tend to be cheaper on Google Books.
The book I want isn't available in my country or in the subscription service I use, why?
We have different agreements with different distributors, sometimes that includes exclusivity agreements which means not all books are available everywhere.
