About Ithkuil

Ithkuil is a constructed language created by John Quijada, first published in 2004 and revised multiple times (most recently as New Ithkuil in 2023). It is designed to express the maximum amount of meaning in the fewest possible morphemes, achieving a density of expression no natural language matches. Ithkuil features 65 consonants, complex morphophonology, and a grammar with categories not found in any natural language — including an extraordinarily rich case system, elaborate derivational morphology, and fine-grained distinctions of perspective, configuration, and context. It is widely regarded as the most complex constructed language ever created.
